Termination or change of employmentObjective: To ensure that employees, contractors and third party users exit an organisation or change employment in an orderly manner. Termination responsibilitiesRequirements for the change or termination of employment or role within an organisation must be clearly defined and implemented. This may include reinforcement of any confidentiality agreements (See 7.4.1.6) and conditions of employment (see 7.6.1.3) as a minimum. Return of assetsIt is essential that all organisational assets are returned to the organisation prior to the termination of employment, be it individual or corporate. To do this it is obviously essential that all organisational assets are traced if taken off site through the asset register (See 7.5.1.1 above). Removal of access rightsIt is essential that all any access rights to any organisational assts or systems are removed promptly on termination and amended on change of employment. Regular checking of access rights is essential (See XXX below) |
